Does not look the same to me, the one in the photograph looks like a sealed canister one, the one you have been supplied is a renewable element type. With filters there could be two or sometimes three possible fuel manufacturers. Double check they have given you the correct one.hope that helps, are you doing a service or trying to fix a problem?
Symptoms point more towards glow plugs.

NOT dissimilar to my Grande MJ filters.. they were @£30
Those filters with 'snap.seal' connectors dont have an air bleed
They have a constant tank return line..
A few cycles of the tank pump to purge air before Cranking the Engine should minimise airpockets in the High Pressure fuel delivery system
How long did you allow to purge?
Did you use any detergents at Service time..??

Those filters dont look the same..?
Euro list two different filters, but were not showing a pic of the other one. The other one was cheaper, so likely to be the element that the OP has.
