Stupidly I thought the fuel leak which happened during normal running, on the top of the fuel filter (the top, in the depression inside the knurled screw ring, was filling with diesel and spilling down the outside) was because of a leaky rubber sealing rung.
Nope. Fitted another filter and new ring. Put it together.Started engine, leak as before. Tightened ring. Still leaking. Wiped top. Fuel seeps from a small, almost invisible crack where the pencil points in the picture.
WHAT is the pressure like when running? Might it be possible to clean the plastic (glass-reinforced nylon???) with thinners and put some araldite on the inside?
Can the top be got separately? What does the electrical thing in the top do?
Argh! No money, need job, coronavirus, Easter weekennd....
