Too late lads, in a drunken stupor ryan has handed me the keys, I popped the bonnet and reconnected a wiring plug and away it went, so rapid that I have made it back up the road in record time!

I'm kidding obviously, Ryan mate, when you have a Cinq you can sympathise with your plight however like Dave says sometimes the problem is simple and you just pop the bonnet and hey presto, sounds like the garages around you are monkeys, an Independant Fiat Specialist will sort you out with all this money you have it will be running in no time!

Calm down kidder calm down!!!

You'll get it sorted. Don't just give it away  no need to quit. Just be patient and work through the possible problems. Ask as much as you can on FCCUK, they are quite knowledgeable on there.

funny because every question i have ased there other than "where is the ECU" has gone unanswered.(n)

Can' remember what you have tried already but I hear this often:

Idle control Regulator?

My mate had a random similar problem to yours in his VW, it was dodgy electrics, when you Fuse Box was knocked it would try switch off the car, he was also going to sell it when his BIG mate took it for a test drive and came back to say it was fine and on getting out the car he bump the fuse box and the car switched off, wouldn't start again but on giggling the fuse box it would start.

Now his Mk3 GTi Golf is mad Rapid and he loves it... don't you want to feel the same way?

Might be some random problem but someone will find it eventually, chin up sugar lumpkins (y)

right then ryan, u need to sit down and think about this. it will be something simple, and if it is something major, then a spare engine is pretty redily available. dont just give in and give it away (but if u do, dont be jelous when i have it, strip it down, dump the turbo coupe lump in etc ;) )

list down what the origianl problem was when u got the car, what u have done, what u have replaced and be detailed, that'll give us all a start to try getting u back on track matey!
