Just heard on the news, the legend that is Fred Dibnah has died. Gutted, I loved his TV programmes, he was trying to build a mineshaft in his back garden!

Legend indeed, his programmes were class.
I heard that too - he was kinda cool, really down to earth and genuine

So that's John Peel and Fred Dibnah no longer with us. Fred was ace, My girlfriends dad met him at some sort of summer fayre you know with the big steam tractor thingy's, He was just the same as he is on T.V you know proper down to earth and a fountain of knowledge on everything to do with britains rich Industrial heritage.

i kinda know both fred and and his missus they both support Three Owls and have brought us many birds - very nice man, chatty indeed - its a great loss
