the arabs dont have enough of an influence in france, i doubt the french will help them kill the shia willingly. maybe they have been bribed/blackmailed into it by the arab leauge, most likely saudi arabia?
well if they can own 10% of america i'm sure they can bribe france.
politically america need a friend to help out, it doesnt have to be an ally with military might, but it does have to be someone who can help to avoid legal issues. UK did that for america in iraq, maybe france will help out in iran. either way france wont be willing/able to do much killing and i would not see them as anything other than a political ally. if you're looking for an easy puppet to take advantage of in the EU i would say france is a good target, they're as easy to bully as the uk but they have even more influence than the uk within the EU. if the arabs want the eu to support america in going to iran then i would think france is a very clever target for them.
