Forum Moderators

Is it possible, in light of the current situation on this forum, that we can appoint a range of Moderators on here to police the forum and cut short pointless and abusive postings and threads ?
I am a moderator on other forums myself, and having responsible moderators, appointed by the site owner, keeps the sort of issues we have here down to a bare minimum. It doesn't wipe it out, but at least moderators can lock or delete unneccesary posts.
I am unfamiliar with Network 57's forum structure and whether it allows the use of moderators.

Paul, can you clarify ?

And yes, Roger, no matter how often you say you are leaving or getting bored, we know you are full of the proverbial ****, so don't insult our intelligence. Your beloved "Bravo Forum Police" might just become a reality that will shut you up for good.

This actually occured to me just yesterday, how come there's only one moderator? :)
It would be a point if we could have some others because not everyone is here at all times.

Moderators

Absolutely.
It seems silly that a public forum is un-moderated, although it is a testament to the good behaviour and maturity of a vast number of members of this forum that it has gone for so long without the need.
As always, a small minority spoil things for the majority.
I seriously believe, as a long term user and contributor to this forum, that now is the time to seriously consider this option. There are plenty of sensible, fair and honest users in here that would make great moderators.

Guys, lets talk about it and get something agreed.

Re: Moderators

I think this has happened due the number of new users recently. Over the past 6 months there has been a large increase in users of this site as it now scores very highly on the search engines.

As in call cases, the more users you get, the more nutters.

Previously this site has run sooooo smoothly its been untrue with only little upset in the past. A credit to most of the users on here.

Bravo owners - cant park, but they can keep a sensible forum :)

Re: Re: Moderators

"Shut me up for good",

Genleman, no more threats. The last time you admitted to hacking - whatever next?

And yawn again

Agree that something needs doing - I very rarely contribute, but look in once a week to see if anyone else's bravo has suffered the same ailment as mine. Over the last few months it's become very difficult to ignore the juvenile postings of ..... well one person in particular.

Re: Re: Re: Moderators

Yes "Roger"....shut you up for good, and any others that choose to disrupt what was an amazingly successful, unmoderated forum. The more I think about it, and the more I look in other forums, this forum is amazing. Amazing because it has remained unmoderated for so long, because there was no need until recently and amazing because of the many, many friendships that have been borne out of this place. I remember one of our 1st meets at Donington and how we all, partners included, hit it off and formed friendships straight away, all because of this place.

Some of us have never met, but still talk on here and other places and have a right laugh.

We, the legitimate and well behaved users of this forum, shall prevail. If authorised moderation is implemented in here, any unwanted threads and posts will be deleted or locked, and the perpetrators banned and denied access. It can be done, and with any luck, it will be done soon. And then maybe this forum will return to it's original state.....a place for FRIENDS to meet and discuss their common interest and hobby, their Bravo/a/Marea.

Fellow users, make your feelings known.

Paul (Forum Owner), I, and I believe many others, would like to hear your opinion on this matter. Let us know how feasible it is and what is involved. I believe most of us here would help out to get this wonderful place you created back to normal.

Do you realise that you sound like a classroom of little boys who have all just been told-off?

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Moderators

You're doing a lot of YAWNING lads, are you boring each other to death?

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Moderators

"Roger"....

The only juvenile "school boy" in here is you. You repeatedly demonstrate this with your insipid, vacuous, tedious and irrelevant posts.

We yawn at you because you bore us......

You bore us terribly "Roger" and soon, we will have the forum back the way it was.....friendly, informative, helpful and anything but boring....which is what your comments always are.....boring, and taking up valuable space. A waste. You are a waste of space.
Make the most of your final days here "Roger".
You will not be tolerated anymore.

Rob.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Moderators

I'm not asking you to be afraid "Roger"...

I am simply informing you that your behaviour will no longer be tolerated and measures will be taken to reduce and remove your impact on what was a superb, friendly and pleasant forum, lovingly built up by Paul and nurtured by many of us legitimate users.

Farewell

Rob.
