In fact, I think solid back vans don't even legally require a rear view mirror inside the vehicle as long as door/ wing mirrors are fitted both sides. This is less apparent these days as nearly all vehicles have mirrors fitted both sides, not like the cars I first started driving where a passenger mirror was a cost option!

In fact, if a solid back van has an interior rear-view mirror it is an MOT failure as there is insufficient rearwards view... iirc it is the same with cars so if you make a solid back, you have to take out the rear-view mirror so it will pass the MOT as a commercial vehicle rather than a car. :nutter:
