any takers???

Its also not expensive to insure (even with the turbo conversion), and of course still benefits from the lower tax bracket too. Its also pretty good on petrol if driven sensibly.

About the car:

N-REG 1996,
Metallic grey,
67,000 miles,
Full service history,
Electric windows,
Central locking,
Remote Thatcham CAT1 alarm system,
2x Immobolisers,
Unmarked sports interior,
Immaculate condition throughout.

SOLD WITH 12 MONTHS MOT, AND INCLUDES TAX.

Engine spec:

1.1i 8v,
Van Aaken Turbo conversion,
New Garret T15 Turbo,
Ford Escort RS Turbo intercooler,
Jetex air filter,
Custom pipework,
Silicone hosing throughout,
Re-mapped ECU,
5th injector,
Remus stainless steel full exhaust system.

The engine has recently had a full major rebuilt...
(1500 miles ago with receipts), during the rebuild it had new pistons fitted, head work, new clutch, new uprated head gasket, de-compression plate, new turbo.

The car is currently running @ 6psi (can be turned up via bleed valve, but its currently at a safe setup which has been tried and tested).
It is producing between 105 and 110 BHP.

Before the engine rebuild and improvements, it was dyno tested and produced 100bhp, so an increase is expected of between 5 and 10bhp.

(Standard van aaken conversions produce 85bhp, standard 1.1i Sporting produces 60bhp).

Suspension:

GMAX Uprated shock absorbers, lowering springs.

Brakes:

Black Diamond performance brake discs and uprated brake pads.

Wheels / Tyres:

14" GT Turbo alloys refurbished and resprayed in metallic dark grey finish,
New Pirelli P6000 performance tyre,
Custom wheel spacers and longer bolts fitted.

Other mods:

Badge removed from bonnet, and smoothed profesionally.
MOMO Steering wheel,
Leather gearknob,
Sony CDX2000 CD Player,
Sony front speakers,
Boost guage.

This car is so much fun, it handles like a go kart, and because of the power to weight ratio (105bhp to 640kg) it goes like stink!

Its been a well looked after car, and has been maintained regardless of cost, its also got full service history, a big folder full of receipts too. i absolutely love this car.....and i want it to go to a good home, where it will be loved just as much.

im not sure how to post up pictures, but i will put up a link to my local cruise site, where there are lots....

£2200 ovno

Send me a PM if your interested.

Seems a shame, that Cinq would eat a Barky no probs.

Guess there comes a time to move on and it's Heidi's.

Where's my chequebook?! LOL

Liam

thanks for the replies guys, im sorry i havent looked at this more recently....

yeah, Jamie is right, its a barchetta next, i fancy some top off fun for the summer...

and, to be completely honest, i have an unhealthy attachment to the cinq, everytime something in my life goes wrong i run away and go for a fast drive, ive had the car for nearly two years, and ive been through alot with it, its time to stop using it as an escape, to cut the cord and to face up to things before i go for a fast drive and stack it by accident!

i can post up more pics of the inside/outside/engine if you want....just let me know....

also, insurance really is not a problem...£624 for me and i have 3 speeding points. Thats with HIC....brilliant people.

someone give it a good home.....

Don't do it,
Soft tops are crap.
I had a soft top 20 years ago and then 3 years ago bought a pug306 cabriolet for my GF. It didn't take long to realise why I sold my old Spitfire the first time round. They are cold and damp and noisy. the bodies shake as soon as you try to do any serious driving. Insurance is astranomical, ICE gets ****ed up or stolen or both because they are always damp inside. but I guess I could live with all that if I could put the roof down for more than 3 weeks a year. If you have long hair it whips you in the eyes. You always turn up places looking like you just had a bad car accident anyway.

Still don't let me put you off :)

oh my!!!!

it was a soft top that convinced me that i want one....my b/f got an mx5 about a month ago, and i love it, but i want something more unusual....and better looking!

better looking than the boyfriend or the MX5? ;)
Talk to anyone who has owned one in the winter, Ice on the inside as well as the outside Radio/CD players that won't work for the first 10 miles, I live in rural dorset and theft is not a problem but it used to be when I lived in a town,

lol, better looking than both! :p

The barchetta that im looking at comes with a hardtop aswell and lots of extra goodies,as well as an upgraded engine....

i dont fancy the ice on the inside and outside bit though :yuck:

im sold really on the fact that you just do not see them, and they are beautiful.....

I have to agree with that. When I retire I am going to live in Italy, we already go there far to often really. But that is the kind of place own one. Oh how I love the italian riviera. Thought I might drive my cinque there in the summer. I'm not sure how it would cope with 90mph for 13 hours though!

Did you tell the new owner about Clubcento and Fiat Forum?!

Bet you're gutted to see it leave:(

At least i can now spend my 'saving for HeidiB's Car' fund.... think i might buy a Mars bar :chin:

Is it a kingsize marsbar??? :p

As for the Barchetta! why??? They only made em in LHD!!

My mums on about getting a 206cc!! :bang: My street card his hit rock bottom!!

yeah...i got the asking price of 2200 for it...so im happy with that, it was absolutely mint...and the engine was so good, if the new owner looks after it there will be no problems whatsoever....but it was so horrible to see it go and me just to be left with a stack of cash but no reciepts or folder full of pictures or spare key hanging up in the kitchen....it was no colsolation. really missing it very badly..... :( :(

the new owner only lives down the road from me...and he said i can go and see it. but i dont know if i want to or not, its not mine anymore so it wouldnt seem right. :(

on a lighter note, think i have found an alternative to the barchetta, an mx5 turbo....near on 200 brake in 900kg, and rwd, so i can have some sideways action.
