Panda went to its new home yesterday, via a lengthy journey on M4 & M5, where its new owner said it performed perfectly.

That's me out of the Fiat game for a while, although they do keep drawing me back (and indeed may have kept me had the Grande Panda actually been available to buy!)
You'll be missed on here - nearly always had something sensible to contribute ;)

I'm very sorry everyone.

I absolutely love the i3. There, I've said it

One pedal driving - brilliant. Just need an extra set of rims to mount mighty 155/70 R19 (the ones that look like bicycle tyres when you're following them!) winter/all seasons on because I really don't think the winter will be survivable on RWD & summers in one of these...

That's interesting; I've just been offered a 2016 with REx. Just doing some research. Battery warranted to 100k I believe but from my professional life batteries are last longer than predicted I believe? This one is on 94k miles. I love the materials technology and the design is satisfyingly softer than the current angular trends.

You've seen the Wisely YouTube site I guess?

Battery is the last thing you need to worry about, much more likely to have issues with the Rex part of the drivetrain. I'm on 71-odd and I've lost 0.7kWh of battery capacity (say 3 miles...)

I hadn't seen that site - thanks. REx gets neglected - service wise - I believe? That's part of the attraction for me some ICE still to play with! I get to attend (chair) a few technical conferences and the last one I did was on EV's (or e-mobility to be accurate). There were a few OEMs in the room and they were saying that REx was going to be trending shortly...

Aiui it's the ones that don't get run that start to give trouble - received wisdom is to make sure the ice gets run every week or two.
