Wimmy and I were discussing this passionately the other night and it has led me to wonder who FF members support? My local team as a kid was Walsall FC who I have seen play many times and I kind of follow the Villa being a Mildlands lass. The current local side, Carlisle United, are absoloute rubbish and have just been relegated from the league. Anyone else?

Not a big footy fan myself, will happily sit and watch a game with mates though. Have been accused of being gay due to lack of inteerst in the game!

Reply was along the lines of: Well, I'm not the one drooling over men in shorts running around a pitch geting all sweaty.....:D

Arsenal my main team. (my hero was ian wright)
the O's (my grandad use to play for them)
Arbroath (cos there so **** u got to love them)
intermilan (dunno y)

I'm not big on.......................

football either, but it doesn't make me gay! Nothing puts you to sleep more than a good game of domestic football, it's soooooo boring. However, I have to say I love the Internationals, and never miss a game during the World Cup or Euro Finals and yes, I support Italia all the way!

Pete, don't worry about the gay thing, I'm into cars, women, motorcyles and food I'm certainly not gay. There are blokes where I work who are really into football, in fact they are so into it that's all they talk about and have in common, take football away from them and they lose the ability to converse, what does that tell you about football fans ???

One more thing, isn't it footballers who wear Sarongs and paint their toe and finger nails ???

Again, don't tend to follow football or any team in particular. Although I will quite happily sit down and watch a big match, like the Man U one the other night in the Champions League, or decent Euro or World Cup Games....

I live in Northampton, so the Cobblers aren't exactly awe inspiring - the rugby has a lot better following :)
