Hi all,

since the seats of our 500C were not pretty any more after 10 years, I decided to invest in good seat covers, and ended up at the italian company of Foderart (http://www.foderart.it/fiat/).

This is how the result looks like:

They have a web configurator with lots of choices of different cloth and 'eco' leather colors, seams, ... . Awesome. We chose ivory ecopelle with red seams and '500' logos. I also have new matching door panels with '500' logos (just didn't find the time to fit them yet).

Whoa ? they look fantastic!! Did you fit them yourself? Or did they fit them? They look absolutely factory! Well done I bet your very happy
We’re they expensive?

Hi,

yes, I fitted them. It took me around 6 hours. The price was around 400 Euro, including the door panels.

Well done! I have seen these fitted and they are not easy!! What a fantastic upgrade for your car they truly look beautiful
And the price isn’t that bad considering the work that’s gone in to them and the precise fit!

I've seen examples of the chequerboard cloth seats used in the Lounge look not pretty any more after 10 days, never mind 10 years! Even the seats in the 1.1 Panda Active wear better.

What you've just fitted looks truly like a product of real quality.

They look really amazing!

These were my Foderart covers for the old Panda 169

I love the inside colour of your car.
I picked dark because I tend to be lazy with the cleaning, but light colours are more cheerful

This is my 500

I want to buy Foderart covers for my new 500 too,
and we exchanged emails this march before getting my new 500 but then
I couldn't write back because of covid-troubles getting the new car papers.

I will try to write them/send them car pictures now,
I just miss pictures of under the seats!

If I am not mistaken there are 500 models with a secret compartment in the passenger seat, just like in the Panda 169

You are right, on our 500C, you can lift up the passenger side seating and then flip it forward to uncover a compartment. This made it very easy to fit the lower part of the seat cover. On the driver's side it was a bit more tricky, basically there are only 2 screws that hold the lower seat cushion in place, but they also riveted a box to the seat from below which holds the cables for the backrest folding mechanism. I removed that box and fitted it back on after fitting the cover. Apart from that, the front seat covers were quite easy to fit. And Brunello from Foderart always assisted me via WhatsApp ☺️

Btw the Panda seats look great as well. Your 500 seats don't look bad, right ? For me the reason to look out for high quality covers was that the fake leather material of the original seats started to disintegrate, and Fiat wanted a couple of 100 Euros for the replacement of the cover only for the driver seat lower cushion (!). Crazy. Now the seats look better than ever ☺️
