Do you actually need that crap under the bonnet??> does it actually do anything??

My dad and i had an argument about whether or not it was going back in after the repairs.................he has won! >>>> for now :D

Anyway what's it for??

no i have driven it without, was nice and noisy> but its practically just as loud with it! so i don't see the point really> it just adds weight:(

Maybe i should remove it and accidently burn it [}:)]

1242cc Engine to go in soon, boot delock soon, ETech Wing still in garage, so's the effing K+N!

its fire proof tho or highly heat resistant so the chances of it catching fire are verry low or els it wouldt be there everything servs a purpose, if u didnt need it the factory would design it without lol and as for weight reduction lol it probably only ways a few lbs if u want that just take ure stereo out ! or dont carry passengers :D

I did take the radio out, and the sun visors, and the head lining, and the carpets, and the soundproofing, and the seats and the pillar trims and the seatbelts.

I just didn't know where to stop.

I still think its a fire hazard, although the most flammable thing under the bonnet is brake fluid, nasty stuff.

Cheers

Grumpy old git going fast downhill rather than downhill fast!!

Oh, yure is the mad rally prepped one...

Still running the 1108cc? Not got a 3L V6 burbling in the back!:D

Good stuff - I would personally remove it, if I had some, but the 2001 sei's don't come with it as standard! like the older sei's, cinq's! There again it is only light was a feather I suppose! [8D]

The proud owner of the Ayrton Senna Edition Sei!!

It serves two purposes, firstly noise suppression to give the car a more refined feel and secondly to protect the bonnet from the heat of the engine which could cause the paint to craze in extreme conditions.

I'm keeping mine in. a) because I can't be arsed removing it and b) because it keeps my engine all cosy. Don't see the point in removing it for less weight, not like it weighs a ton

They also designed that blinkin hadbrake and that needs shipped off somewhere!

I've seen the rallycinq, is very impressive, like the rally cars you would see on TV spec wise but just in smaller packaging1

One day I will have a reason to buy a dump valve!
