Flashing Odometer is result of a failure of the Blue & Me or of power system. The later could be poor battery, IBS or alternator fault or just poor earth. How since you have changed the radio, it recognises that it not there? Suggest you need to disable the blue and me, run an alignment, rescan for devices and re-enable, then re run proxi alignment. Worst case Radio should still work and Odometer stop flashing even with the Blue and me discounted/disabled. You will be a far more experienced MES user by the end. ( you should be able to upgrade to 5.4 on your current license)

No need to upgrade anything.
You basicaly have to tell the system you have a new radio. If it doesnt work straight away remove both radios try agin . If no flashing then add dab and then proxi align again. It all works then back up proxi file.

You can upgrade the version of the Multiecuscan software, don't need to but you might as well do so. Just don't upgrade further than your licensed.
@Mickpin you are all ready on V5.2 which i believe is the latest version. Note version is shown top lhs of a mes screen.
