If i remember correctly - 1 closest to the radiator is 23 and one closest to the bulk head is 14

if you look carefully into the actual coil pack holder - you should see the firing order cast into the actual holder :)

Ziggy

Mine is stamped on the holder - Cant really see it with the air filter in place, but easily visible if you remove the air filter box.

The firing order is now correct but I still get p0204 and a check engine light so I am certain it is the injector or the wiring, but more so the injector.

Anyone know how to remove an injector? I will pop it onto a different cylinder to see if it is the injector.

Thanks

Right. Got myself in abit of a pickle. Once i removed the injectors, petrol came spewing out. Not alot though but still abit.

Should i let it dry or scrub the sh*t out of the engine?

mop up what you can . it'll soon evaporate.. BUT be WARY of FIRE risk,,
Keep bonnet up, and don't use ANYTHING electrical,
assuming battery was already OFF..,

Yes battery was unplugged from negative side. Most of it looks to have evaporated but ill let it dry some more.

UPDATE - The new injector for cylinder for arrived and I replaced the old one. What I think happened is that as I was removing the HT leads, they were a b*tch to pull off, so I yanked harder, and as it came free, my hand flew past the electrical connector on top of the injector and haf somehow damaged the injector solenoid.

The thing about these injectors though is the paperclip connector holding the cable on top of them in place is so hard to get on so I will have to tie them together with a plastic holder.

I have yet to test the new coils, plugs and leads past 70 mph, but when i do, i will post results

Bad news im afraid. With new coils, the issue is still there, and after 75 mph, the check engine light comes on. I am abit baffled as to what it could be. Maybe the cylinders are dirty, or the throttle body butterfly valve is not opening fully and suffocating the engine, who knows. Any more ideas?

Have you tried driving it up a steep hill to see if the misfire happens before you get to 75?

How do we know the problem is not low fuel pressure and the like?

How do you check/change fuel pressure. There must be an easier way than installing a new pump.

I drove it up a really steep hill and it was all running smooth and fine with no engine light. Could it be dirty injectors?

What is the situation with your car? What have you done?
I have had the "check engine" light pop up at higher speed and on mine it was due to thermostat in cooling system. It was broken on open loop and the engine was always running cold - aprox 70 Celsius and at higher speed the air cooling the radiator made the light pop up.
