The gangs tend to target new, smarter vehicles or vulnerable road users, including older people and women with children in the car.

Absolute scum, need lining up and shooting imo.

If someone flashes me to come out I'll go out but only if I judge it do-able. I know some people panic and go when flashed even though the gap might not be there, you can easily see how this could be taken advantage of. Some people make me sick.

IMO we need a new offence of deliberately driving with the intention to cause an accident. It would attract a mandatory minimum sentence of 12 months imprisonment and a 10yr driving ban. In the most serious cases, the perpetrators should be charged with attempted murder.

Anyone who intentionally risks causing death or injury to an innocent party by driving dangerously with the intention of defrauding an insurance company for financial gain needs removing from society.

Is this "assault with a deadly weapon"?

Moving the indicator stalk must use too many calories, we wouldn't want them all collapsing at the wheel due to exhaustion.

On another note. Followed a guy out of Swindon centre, all the way to Tesco fuel station. Never indicated once.
After I'd got my fuel, he was in the kiosk, browsing the display of air fresheners, which also displayed bulbs. I couldn't help myself. I walked over, pointed to the 21w bulbs and said "These are the ones you need".
"What for?" came the indignant reply.
"For your indicators." my cheerful reply.
"There's nothing wrong with my indicators." he stated, quite loudly. A moment of absolute silence in the kiosk, followed by loud laughter as everyone else understood the story. The two ladies on the tills were struggling to manage due to laughing so much. Priceless. Smug smile as he watched me walk back to the BSM car.

It's just as bad with those muppets who indicate at the last nanosecond.
The other day I had some guy lean on the horn as I came out onto a roundabout right in front of him. His exit had 2 lanes, both are clearly marked (and used) as ahead. I looked at him as we approached - no right signal so I must be OK to carry on. I had slowed to get a good look & was in appropriate gear (driving gloves, flat hat, scarf) so was no biggie to stop or go.

His indicator came on after he went over the white line and as I was committed to going.

I don't know about dashcams with dual remote lenses, it's looking more and more like we need a 4 lens system for 360deg coverage.

the 1 that really gets me ;

those drivers who when exiting a Dual-carriageway/motorway,
indicate at the last of the 3 x countdown markers ( or later), then leave the left indicator on until it cancels itself miles down the road,
it's a daily problem where I live = there are 2 RH lanes going onto a busy roundabout,
with another ( 3RD ) LH lane feeding directly into an office / commercial development ( 40 / 50 MPH traffic),
so you are travelling down your correct lane LH when the traffic in the RH Inner Lane slowly moves forward , revealing a stationary car indicating LEFT !, with a 30% chance of then moving LEFT into your path at 5 mph,

it wouldn't be so bad if it didn't happen 3 days each week, !,
Charlie
