I meant Si of course.
Yup, thought you did I've sent him a message
Anyway I went to the local garage to see about some wheel bolts and they said try the scrappy a few miles away.
Thought it best to test fit the wheels first - back is fine no problems sits nicely in the arch.
Front is a little wide and fouled the brake caliper so obviously needed a small spacer too.
Armed with this info took the wheels which were still in the boot down to the scrappy. They didn't have the preferred size but had nearly* a matched set in 185/60/14 - fitted (well they would have been if the locating lugs on the hub hadn't fouled the spacer ring) balanced and all very swish including spacers and wheel nuts (which I had to hunt for and still managed to get the wrong ones) for the price of two new front tyres.
So the wheels with fresh(er) tyres were loaded in the boot again and off home I went.
A bit of fettling on the spacers saw one of them (already cracked) snap in two and no, superglue doesn't work very well on alloy.
I persevered and after a trip to motosave for some quite pricey bolts I had them all on Fizzle.
Now something catches on full lock reversing out the drive but not going forward.
Something else catches if I go more than 20 over a speed hump.
I suppose I could just slow down and take it easy in the transformed to smooth and planted ride?
What and miss all the grippy going round corners stuff!
I suppose pictures are in order....
First what made me buy part worns ......
My my how smart....
He ain't nothin' but a wide boy....
I'm very pleased, I just hope I got the nuts right or else I'm back to the shop very slowly
Thanks again to Andy, the guy at the scrappy was amazed to see Lancia wheels going on a Panda and was capped when I told him they'd just come off a 4x4!
*3 out of 4 ain't bad.
