I just fitted new rear brake shoes as one of the friction surfaces detached itself from the shoe, All straightforward but I didn't adjust the auto adjustment rods and now there is far to much play in the handbrake lever. I suppose I need to take it all apart again but I wondered if anyone knows if the self adjusting mech will wind themselves out sufficiently if I push the brake pedal enough times?
