Technical Fitted Crankshaft sensor

I have a new sensor for My car , When fitted the sensor , the car wont turn over , When i put my old one Bk On, it starts straight Away ... I have tryed 2 New sensors, and dnt work, The sensor have been brand new both Times, is there something u have to do , when a new sensor is fitted, ..Thanks
