Panda (Classic) First classic Panda purchase

Thanks again for all the advice,

I agree I'd much rather pay 5-600 and have an enjoyable car rather than £250 and £300 of hassle before I can enjoy it.

Anyway I contacted him today and he reports it may be more bother than its worth with gearbox issues and welding required. Nice to see an honest seller not trying to con a buyer.

My search will continue for the right Panda, I was looking at the ebay one in kent but will keep eyes open for a good example. My cousin in Northern Ireland has a 1993 selecta he uses as his "pub car" in great nick with 30k on which I have first dibs on if he is selling.

Many thanks,

Geoff

Normally, I'd agree... -- and I hate to put a spanner in the works... -- but it also appears as "breaking" in one of the Panda Killer's ads on eBay.... :(

So I'd be just a tad wary of this particular example...

Fair comment, although maybe this one can be saved instead?

Edited to say, looked at the link and it sold on Ebay from Hillingdon on 4th June for £495 (so my valuation not far off :D ) but now it's in Kent for £675? The buyer never left the seller any feedback nor vv, maybe the deal didn't go as smooth as they liked either.

The power of this forum eh!

That's the tread I was talking about! I new MEP had gone to look it for Mr Haze but couldn't find the thread as I was looking through 750 threads and not "not what it seems" threads :bang: glad we now list number plates on auction watch!

Well done for finding it (y)

I searched for 'light blue' in auction watch and hey presto! I normally have to resort to google so I was quite surprised myself.

Had a girl sitting in that 750L with all her friends in it when I last saw it parked up outside Norwich prison about 3 months ago. Looks very sorry for itself unfortunately, however it does have a rather mint interior from memory.

Probably worth £200 tops. I'd be temped to offer full asking price if they put a fresh MOT on it.
