Technical Filter Q?

Opinion on my air filter... Had my car serviced approximately 1500 miles ago, just doing my usual checks on the car oil, fluids, leak checks etc I had a nosey at the air filter. It looked filthy, the bottom white cotton bit was black, and their was a wasp in their. Is this normal for a filter that was changed such a short time ago? Considering that the dealer also decided to put petrol oil in my multi jet, which they had to change for diesel oil, I also wonder whether they bothered with the filter?? strange.

scheduled replacement for the air filter is @ 36k & 72k. So unless it was part of your service it wont have been done . I did mine myself @ 12k coz im fussy, only cost £8.

Have a look at the sheet they give you after the service and check if they charged you for it. I think its around £11.
