Filling out v5c logbook

right, im purcchasing a second hand car tomorrow, can someone give me a real simple breakdown f what i have to do? the only bit im confused bout is the bit that says 'New keeper?' if so tick box. Do ihave to tick that, there isnt much info online about this, it seems you only tick this if you re just changing some specific details, ive only ever bought one car before, so im confused. iI know i have to fill ut the green section but dont know if i tick the box, thanks.

Yes you need to tick the new keeper box. Section 6 of the V5C is used for the new keeper details and also for new address details of the current keeper. You also need to fill in the date of sale or transfer boxes.

you put your details on it, they and you sign it. they give you the green part to keep, they send off the main part.

dont lose that green bit, if new v5 dont come that green bits gets you a new one for free
