Ive won(almost).

For those of you that didnt read my original post 6 months ago, my car was diagnosed with piston slap by a fiat dealership after having the tappits done, new oil, blah bla etc etc

Anyhow they said that it was a "characteritic of the car". I said "no its not its BROKEN you had better fix it"

6 months later (now) after talking with customer care a few times (0800 717000) they are going to fit me with some new teflon coated pistons and re bore my block.AND if that doesnt work they said that they will gimmi a new engine. (1.8HGT gets my vote thanks ;-) )

the only thing is that they want my car for a week but said that i cant have a courtesy car because im under21 and im not insured.i told them that my own insurance would cover the car even up to fully comp. and thy still said no. :-(

it shouldnt be long now.the saga continues.........

i to have had a problem in my punto mk3, and have also had the new pistons fitted (teflon) it took them nearly 3 weeks to do and the courtsey car was dangerous ( my mate lent on the back door and it swung open leaving him nearly decapitated on a parked vehicle, the door seal fell off and the car flooded over night and the window broke and would not wind up) apart from tha the fix worked and sounds perfect. the dealiership did not look so happy when i gave them their courtsey car back fillled with water.
