I recently purchased an 2000 Uno diesel 1700cc car. I have searched but I am unable to find much information about this car.
Could someone give me a few links to look at.

I guess your request is a little vague and there aren't many (i know of one and thats you! (but i'm fairly new to this site)) owners of 1.7d uno's.

What is it you want to know exactly?

I might be able to help, i owned one a (good) few years ago.

well i have only ever seen 2 in my life one n reg and a mark one with 378000 miles on the clock so you have a good load of motoring ahead of you

I piece of advise to save you from costly repairs!

Coolman, I own a fiat uno diesel 1.7 which is 2002 model! The most critical component in my view in Uno Diesel is its TIMING Belt and especially in used UNO's. At your earliest convenience have it inspected and i'd advise a belt replacement as a precaution. And make sure u get a good brand of timing belt.

Lemme share my experience with you. At around 45Ks i replaced timing belt. After 2.5Ks the belt failed and i ended up with a dead engine, bent valves etc etc. For full story check out this link.

Keep us posted if you need advise on anything else. Regular maintenance as per manufacturers recommendation is all thts required to keep Fiat Uno Diesel road worthy and never take a chance with cheap parts. U may get lucky a few times but in the end u always end up paying much more!
