Technical Fiat Tipo 2017 OBD2 software recommendations

I have 2017 Tipo SW 1.6D.
I want to check for the possible errors
I have a old VAG 5.1 OBD2 USB cable. It was working my ex-audi.
Now, I installed the multiecuscan software to my notebook and tried old VAG OBD cable.
Not working!!
It says for this car ELM connector is required.....
Is there other software works with VAG cable?
or If I buy a cheap chinese ELM adapter will it work?

I couldn’t find any software that will work with a VAG cable. You could try a cheap elm adapter but it’s likely you will be unsuccessful. Unfortunately if you want to use multiecuscan you will probably find you need a good quality elm adapter. I tried a cheap one and it was no dice.

Fiat Tipo 2015+ is all CAN-BUS.

A VAG-KKL interface will not be able to communicate regardless of the software used.

You need to get a known to work/approved ELM interface or an OBDLINK interface.
