Hi everybody, i'm new on this forum, and i have a question, and i hope you can help me....
I know a little about cars, and i own '91. Tipo 1.8ie 16V 100KW....
Anyway, i had my old camshafts replaced with new ones from Tipo 2.0.
Now, i have a feeling, my poor Tipo doesn't go as fast, as earlier....
Can this be a reason, are these camshafts same, or am i just having sence failiure?
I changed it becouse i couldn't find the right ones in Belgrade....and i didn't want to go anywhere else....

Please Help, I need to know.....

What was the reason for replacing the camshafts?

I've no knowledge of the differenced between the 1.8 and the 2.0.

my car passed 180000KM with no replacemet of these when i bought it, sod i change camshafts, all 16 valves, cambelt etc, cables, sparks...

Having changed the camshaft, wouldn't you need to check the valve clearances?

Well, I suppose they did it in the service...
When I asked them if the camshafts from Tipo 2.0 fit, they said that they didn't know

As a matter of fact, I even think that guys from the service had some troubles setting up the ECU, if the electronics from the co-drivers place is called that way, after replacing camshafts. Even changed, now I have troubles keeping my engine running when it's cold, and it lasts until it gains at least minimal heat from working (at least a minute from the starting it)...:bang:

So much for the knowlege of Serbian authorized FIAT service....
Damn you Belgrade....(n)
