Technical fiat tipo 1.4dgt electric's fault...please help

Hi everyone this is my first post here please help. :bang: my tipo 1.4 dgt h reg 88/89 has developed an electrical fault,all lights,dash,radio suddenly cut out when i was driving.if i disconnect/reconnect the battery it's all working again untill i turn my lights on,i hear a single tick and it cuts out again.the car will start and run no probblem,even after electrics fail.

Not a loose connection anywhere, perhaps a short somewhere? Maybe your battery is on its way out?

thank i'll check all earths and relays and then replace battery to see if that does the trick.
