Hello guys I need your opinion. I have a Fiat Stilo 1.2 ‘03 5 door we bought it new back then. It is a family car very well maintained with no problems until last wear. Out of nowhere the throttle stopped responding and the car stalled. The mechanic said it was giving fault codes from the throttle body so I change it with a used one. For 5 months it was perfectly fine. Then it started having irregular idle I once again went to the shop they took my battery off for some time reconnected it and it was good again. Some months later I was washing the car I took off to return home and the car went in safe mode rpm stack to 900-1000 and no throttle response again. I went to another mechanic he also removed the battery for a while cleaned a ground point inside the engine bay and the car was fine again. Fast forward 9 months from this it stalled again out of nowhere because of unresponsive throttle and the solution was again to disconnect the battery for a while. I have spoken with some shops that specialise in Ecu’s and they told me that it is a known issue for the 1.6’s ecu but not for the 1.2’s ecu. I will have the wiring checked and I hope to find something. Any suggestions about what may be the cause? Or anyone with the same issue ?
Thanks in advance and sorry for the long text. 🙏

It’s the f24…. Is it repairable ?

Can't really see

If that's a tear red arrow

Don't just solder the pieces together, yes unfortunately more dismantling

But some solid copper wire across, green line to add mechanical strength to the repair

If you temporarily leave it as it is. The car will work just no power steering

Are we taking the fuse box apart because the 5V was missing ?

No just to clean it

PI was wondering all the tests came back good wirring etc so can it be a bad fuel quality? Or failling camshaft/ crankshaft sensor?
It says it's not completing it's power on self tests

You often have to go through the relean when you disconnect the battery, learn the idle and end stop

Your saying it will not perform a relearn

Its a communication problem between the throttle body and ECU

It a faulty ECU, throttle body, wiring, power or ground, noisy or missing

The damaged fuse box will still work you just will not have any power steering

The first job is to try the relearn, needs testing again as connectors have been off, then measured the 5V reference

Be handy in a scanner as any spikes would show

hi again! After a short break due to bad weather i am back. So i bought a new elm327 because the last one was a chinese knockoff. It gave me another code P1689 (Oil pressure control solenoid circuit malfuction motorised throttle self compensation) with P1688 still present. I also want to ask why my radio loses connection to can everytime i plug in the obd reader?

I never seen them knock out the the radio before

It's fairly common to knock out the abs

Then again there's very few stilos here in the UK

Everything goes backwards and forwards on the same few wires, there a conflict somewhere, but I don't think it helps us

Can you see track 1 and 2 now with your new adaptor

saddly they are not supported. I will try will multiecuscan too. I am comming to conclusion with the new fault in mind that something is wrong with the voltages in the ecu.
