General Fiat Punto N reg - won't start

Can anyone help me? Problem: New engine fitted in car, now it won't start. I don't have a red key, only the blue one. A Fiat dealership has advised my car wasn't issued with a red key (?). The car makes noise but won't kick in when the accelerator is pressed.

What is the problem and what can I do. :I

I live in Tyneside area, any mechanics out there taking pity please let me know.

Try to post at the "Punto" section. Anyway - what noise does the car make? You shouldn't need the accelerator to get the car started. Turning the key will give power to a little engine called "the starter motor" that is attached to what we refer to as "the engine". The starter motor will turn the engine and at the same time sparks will ignite the fuel/air mixture above the cylinders and the engine will run.
