Hi everyone I bought my Fiat Punto a month ago and all I got with it was the wine key. It is alarmed but there was no fob with it so my first question is: Is there a way for me to get my alarm working? The other thing is when I put my key in the door and open it all the locks open so my second question is: Is there a way to program a remote fob to it? Thanks

Easy enough, if you know little electrics, like red wire is +, black "-", disconnect battery before install it, also some wiring skills need, join some wires, and need understand, what wires you join and why.
I've done mine, but different alarm from ebay.
Suggest you get fobs, which can be closed, kinda cover on them, just flip cover, and press button, mine fob has no cover, and sometimes buttons accidentally pressed while in pocket, or drop on table, that bit annoying.

I've been after an alarm system for my mk1 punto also, but my car doesn't have Central locking so i'm unsure how to go about it.

Plus my insurer doesn't want me fitting one?!
They want an extra £200 a year if I add an alarm:(

ok, then install alrm, but disconnect siren :) , youll get central lock. Ask your insurers, what they think about central lock system in your car.

Install that actually easy, buy 2 (if just for two front doors) motors like that -> http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-X-2-Wir...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20bc9a7ba7
and install behind door upholstery , and connect to lock and two wires to alarm unit.

Put the siren under the dash. Everybody ignores alarms anyway but with it screaming inside the cabin no thief will stop to look for stuff to steal let alone try to drive it.

Ha Ha, sounds like a good idea.
However from my exp the alarm tends to go off while I'm driving the car for some reason:p (punto 2mkb) not all the time mind, just every now and again, my guess it that it's shorting out somewhere
