Hello! I am new to the forums!
I have MK1 Punto and I wonder can I put 195/45/16 rims?? I have 10mm spacers and 175/65/14 alloys!
The stock size by the book given for mine is 165/65R14...
Will 195/45/16 scrub on full lock???

I had 16" on one of mine and was Ok at the back but rubbed on the arch liners at the front. Cant remember the tire size though as was a long time ago.

well 17" wheels on mk1 puntos wasnt a rare thing back in the late 90s so I wouldnt worry for a moment about 16s being too big
Yeah you right, but I want it to look good and balanced, not something oversized...😅

😅
As I said I am running 175/65/14 and they fit good on the arches...
I am thinking of 195/45/16 wich is the first pic compared to mine

And the second one is 195/40/17 ( which I don't know how will look) compared to my size

The only thing I was wondering is will there gonna be problems with the steering?

Hello!

Look at this post, he definitely did what you want.

I will put some 16" Ronal r56 in matte black next week.

With regards.

I got 205/40R17 on my Punto 176
Fits nicely, but you can feel it's a bit heavy

Whatever size wheels and tyres you manage to put on, make sure the centre hole is a good fit on the hub spigot. Some wheels which look as if they ought to fit will just not go over this spigot, and here I'm thinking of BMW 14" alloy wheels from the older 3 series which are 100mm pcd, and need special wheel bolts at adapt them onto the Fiat 98mm pcd hubs. The wheel centre hole is about 1mm too small and needs accurately machining out on a lathe to 43mm. Spigot adapters are available when the centre hole is too large, a plastic ring which is pushed over the hub spigot and is coned, to adapt to the wheel centre hole diameter.
