Hi All,

New to the forum so hi, I have recently put my 2008 plate Fiat Punto Active through an MOT and its failed on corrosion of the Brake Master Cylinder Servo part, the disk is fine but the servo apparently needs replacing.

Are these difficult to fix and obtain the part as two garages have said there stocklists do not do the part, and have to order direct from the dealership.

I have been quoted over £500 for this to be fixed which is crazy!

Any advice?

I am close to Coventry, anyone on hear used any garages they can recommend?

Cheers!

I think there is an issue with boost servo rotting due to a drainage issue

Ziggy

Indeed there is, water collects around the area of the servo and rots the master cylinder and the bulkhead.

Obviously if the brake components are rusted, you’ll need to make sure the bulk head is ok, dried off and rust treated, otherwise your car might not have much longer on the roads,

However this section is for the mk2 punto, yours being a 2008 will be a grande punto which there is a different section of the forum for.
