Hi!

I made a video about Fiat Punto 1.2 8V performance upgrade with parts from Punto 1.2 8V 75 mk1. It's Finnish but has English subtitles

Seems like the whole mk1 inlet side could be fitted to mk2. Map sensor is the main problem but I already fixed that in minutes

I'm not going to use mk1 throttle body because it has only 38mm butterfly. Instead I'm going to make an adapter for 46mm tb from Fiat Marea 1.6

I also ported the cylinder head, here's a video if someone is interested :)

Marea 46mm vs Punto 36mm throttle body:

There's 10mm size difference on butterfly valve and same 10mm difference on bolt pattern as well. Airfilter fitment is also 10mm larger, 70mm vs 60mm. Sensors are identical and Punto throttle cable holder can be used. But there's no place for ecu so I have to made one or mount it somewhere else

Just checking back in with this thread, looking good now you've got it all together. Any feelings about the power upgrade with the new throttle body?
I like the scoop you've added too, are you gonna stripe it white to go with the side stripes?

It works fine. Not sure about power gains yet but I can easily tell that there's more power on high revs. Idle is a bit erratic now but faulty tensioner might be the cause. There can be problems with mixture with stock fuel injectors because there's 60% more flow area at full throttle. It's another thing how well the engine can breath though :D

The videos have been removed from here for some reason but here are the links again:

First acceleration test with Punto 75 intake manifold and 46mm throttle body. Not very impressed yet, maybe even slower than before. AFR is 14+ at full throttle and ignition is too retarded. Punto is now na for testing purposes, no boost :D

I'm going to fix those faults and test again soon. Maybe one extra gear change is slowing it down too?
