Technical Fiat Panda replacement gear knob?

It looks like the gear knob on my panda has cracked. I don't think the heat recently helped at all. It doesn't really stay in place unless I shove it off angle and if put it straight on it either bounces on the spring or goes too far down blocking the reverse gear. the plastics just seem to be failing me in this car. The glove box handle, then the vents and now this. Is it common for plastics to become brittle in the 169 panda?

Where can I find a replacement and how should I install it? Is it just a press fit?

Knob and gaiter are available on eBay for under £15

Unfortunately the set known to work very well is now a dead link

Generally the plastics are pretty good, they do age, the more UV the quicker they age

Yours looks like it might have cracked.
I've not had any problems with brittle plastics in my 2004 car yet.
Plenty on eBay, they push on, so get it lined up straight first.
Or a blob of epoxy to stick the old one back on?

That's what I would do

And suggested last time someone had this problem

However I was told it didn't work, I can't see why not though
