Hi all
I'm new to owning a Multipla and new to this forum. If I'd have found this forum first not sure if I'd have bought a Multipla!!! No, it's reasuring to know people have experianced the same things as me and they can be sorted.
Anyway I needed a new alloy wheel and deciding not to pay a dealer £225 I thought secondhand.... I have checked all over then came accross DA MOTORS in Essex 01268 767424. The bloke was real helpful and I got what I wanted for £69.00 including postage.
From what he told me he only breaks Fiats so his knowledge is good.

problem is with forums in general is that people only seek them out when they have a problem!! I have had my multi from new, for almost 9 years (the longest we have owned a car until then is 2 1/2 years!), yes we have had to replace the gearbox, however apart from that just standard wear and tear items are all we have paid for. Failed it's first MOT on it's 8th Birthday (broken coil spring, which is not particular to multis) and goes on mile after mile without incident.

Wasn't it recalled a few years ago as part of the campaign to change front springs - see topic at the top of this forum.

mine is petrol, it was the diesels that were recalled :)

According to the MOT station (non Fiat), they replace coil springs about 3 or 4 times a week these days, they reckon it's the state of the roads (n)
