They’re call it Grande Panda instead of Panda Gigante (giant panda), anyway, it’s here:
300mm/12” shorter than the Citroen but still just shy of four meters, small it is not
Just buy a Jeep Grand Cherokee and be done with it. Cannot see any logic in calling it a panda. Its a totally different car fot a different market audience, in which the name Panda will hand around its oversized ne k like a millstone. May be a fine thing, but why infer it has any connection the the little Fiat.

Not quite as big as the Jeep Avenger, but the same dna…thing is that the Avenger is Jeeps smallest car, whereas the Panda is a product of it’s time. I often parked my Mk1b panda 4x4 next to my mates Willys Jeeps and, to my mind, it shares that ethos better than any Jeep since…bloated

I am wondering how long until I spot one on the road..
I recall my 1st spot of a GrandePunto M6 in Lancs..

UK seems to struggle with Foreign sounding stuff,

See a few used FIAT ads listing the trim level as "Dynamique" ☺️

As for the Bravo/a of the 90's, far too complex for some..

I think they'll try to use the Punto name on a sportscar next :)

Its supposed to be the cheapest electric car in its category and other manufacturers are going to scramble to keep up with demand...

Not buying one, no.
I can't see it achieving that in the light of the incoming Chinese invasion EVs :-/ Perhaps cheapest of the reliable / quality brands

I keep wanting to buy one but then I see PSA PureTech and I just can't do it...

I never buy anything ‘off the bat’, always wait till they’ve done some miles and get all the teething troubles out of the way. Only car ‘we’ve’ ever bought new and in the introductory year have been the missus cars, 169 panda 4x4 climbing, the 169 Cross and the Renegade Trailhawk.

Looking back, the 169 was probably a good bet!

Just saw an ad on Facebook for Mopar showing the new Citroen C3. God, it’s very similar at first glance to the new Panda :-(

A friend of ours was most put out wehn I asked him about his Hyundai…it’s a Jag…car design is either lazy, ugly or samey these days

That's about to get much worse. With Chinese blatant rip offs like MG and worse brands to come, every single unique design element originated from Volvo... Citroen... Mazda... BMW and Mercedes amongst others, is being mash-mashed up into generic, crossover design. I wouldn't be surprised if they're using half-baked AI to churn out these designs.

I can't unseen the resemblance between the various Land Rover models and these Jag crossovers either. They've curved off the Land Rover models far too much.

Funny how we went from being told driving small, economical cars like the Panda in the early 2000s was considerate and now, they can't rush fast enough to make us all drive over sized, heavy and inefficient BEVs

I wouldn’t have said merc, bmw, or indeed VAG and Porsche were design icons…there design departments must be the laziest in the world
Personally I look up more to the Italian designs! But those brands are the ones most people seem to look up to, and as such, are often copied most often. I mean look at the back of those MG crossover skip things, they are a blatant rip off of some of the BMW suv rear ends. The fronts are a knock off of Mazda's front, with the Mercedes 'diamond grill' blatantly plastered into the middle of it. A tasteless mish-mash.

Thinking out loud here..

The 500e was one of a very select group of purpose built EV's

Most are a rework of a Diesel engined platform.. 🙄

So...
You have a car designed around a BIG Central battery, and substantial front mounted 3 in 1 drivetrain

Can the powers that be make it a FULL HYBRID,
As that will sell properly, meet LOTS of targets, and be a rarity in that segment

Along with the practicality of good reliable trip range 👍

If I am going to drive a C*** car, it will be chinese and properly cheap. I think the trick is to get it to catch fire when you are done with it. After a week buring by the road side the insurer can deal with it.... Or have I missed something.
More premium rises in the offing them.

Oh what a suprise.... Fiat my rear end. Its progress but towards what.

Nothing exciting I feel, but then that is the real Achilles heel of all electric cars. The motors are BORING BORING BORING. Ultimately this is good as when there is only 1 car make left and they all look the same they can all have the same motor, and of course, the same faults. Then the computer chips can all go down on the same day and nothing will ever happen in the world ever again. All employees will be fired on the same day and this will result ineveryone going home and turing on the kettle at the same time resulting in huge power outages and a resultant baby boom 9 months later. This will be followed by a ban on children and androids will take over. In their boredom tehy will invent Fiats and teh cycle can begin again....
