Technical Fiat Marea 1.6 auto

Hi,
I'm new here and was wondering if there are anyone who can help out!
I drive a Fiat Marea 1.6 auto and few days ago, the car's gear just auto locked. The car was in 'P' mode but it could not be switched gear, and the key could not be removed. Only after a day, everything went back to normal. Does anyone knows whats the cause of it, cause I was pretty freaked out. The car's about 10 years old btw

what happens with them there is a lock on the torque converter and some times they do lock the solution is simple just change the trans fluid make sure you use selenia oil

Oh! But is there like a particular reason it did that? As in did I do something that triggered it to lock up?
