Technical Fiat Grande Punto ESP, Hill holder ASR Disconnect

Hello there
I purchased a Fiat Grande punto tjet 2009 yesterday but it had the following faults:
ESP not available
Hill holder not available
ASR disconnect
Check power steering

Are these all related if so, what is the most common fix?

Often a combination of:

Black earth cable
Brake light switch
Rear hatch wiring


What did you use to get the codes?
Levels of accuracy can vary ;-)

i cant seems to read anycodes though the obd

Top of Grande section are Yellow threads..called 'stickies'

'Random electrical' should help guide you

Sorry for jacking the thread. I had the same issue the other night. I remember 100% that it was raining quite hard. It hasn't happened since. I have noticed that a tiny bit of my left brake light, where it lines up with the boot is chipped off. Going by what you have posted, I think you may be right. Could be water trickling into the rear hatch wiring. I don't have any codes as it went off. Also, sorry for being a pain but where is the old connection? I don't have a clue or a manual. Thanks in advance

I had the same! It was the battery low on charge.
