I'm not saying that cars looks better with 5 doors.

I admit that some look better with 3 doors, the Stilo for example. But there are exceptions to the rule and I honestly think that the Brava looks better than the Bravo.

The Subaru Impreza is another example. The 5 door looks better than the 3 door. How many 3 door Imprezas have you seen in the UK?

I know what you're saying but I wanted the 5 doors to get my mates in and out easy for the football.

Looks was important (although I don't think the Leon does too badly in that department) but performance was at the top of my the list [}:)] and for the money I couldn't find a better alternative.

i agree that there are certain cars that don't look as good with 5 doors. But there are exceptions such as the Alfa 147, looks just as good with 5, plus it has those sexy rear door handles.

Yes, but look at the difference between a Brava/Bravo or Stilo 3/5.

The three door model always looks nicer. ;)

No way Savi. The Brava is much better looking than the Bravo.

Nope, I disagree, and i'm not saying it to wind you up, you know I owned a Brava passionately for four years.

The Leon is one of the few cars which I think looks sporty with 5 doors:D

Lovely Sprint Blue Stilo - And no money to mod it!

147 looks better as a five door! Stilo looks best as a 3 door, look ok as a 5 door but looks good in 5 door estate! Go figure! :I

2003 3 Door Stilo 1.2 Active, Sassy Grey, 5 disc CD Changer, plastic wheel trims - and 41.7mpg average so far. Love it, Oh yes!

I think the Stilo Multiwagon looks better than the 5door, neither look sporty, but the Multiwagon has that 'lifestyle' appeal, whereas the 5door is just a family hatch IMO.

I honestly would consider a multiwagon if they put the JTD 140 engine in it:)

SEATs are good but as cmc said its too much of Audi and VW copy ... very few original stuff ... hate that.
But i agree that if your main priority is the performance ... cmc you made the right choice .... the engine is true BEAST.

spacecowboy ... geeee ... the 5door 147 is damn not good .... the door handle is hidden but as TC said the longitude of the doors is visible.if compared to other 5dr ... the 147 is better but still has 5doors.

YEah and i do adore the sportwagon ... true beauty ... still cant understand how can a wagon be SOOOO beautifull and sporty .. SLFA WAY.

The multiwagon is a beauty in my eyes. TBH I like the new MY04 Stilo 5 door a lot better than the original. (I have the original and I do think it is a bit on the bland side - whereas the 3 door is a beauty). BUT I love the 5 door Leon :D then again I would say that.

At the end of the day that's what makes us all diffrent - choices, opinions and preferences. I personally don't put looks down as number 1 on the list for a new car but I can see why a lot of people would. It's important to me but I value things like performance, safety features etc. as higher. But hey that's boring old me :I

Cheers

Just ordered a new Stilo Multiwagon 1.9JTD Dynamic (Feb 2004 spec availble and in uk) today for my birthday :) from Eric Ashmole in Swansea after being pi**ed about for a week by the sales team at JJ Motors Crosshands (They still think they've got the deal. NOT!). Anyway to the point at hand. Multiwagon 1.9 jtd gives 115bhp but if ECU is remapped, can achive 150bhp. Try this link to find out more. http://www.angeltuning.co.uk but watch your clutch!

I'm usualy wrong but when I am, I'm usualy right!

Re the 3/5 door debate.

What's pissed me off in recent years is Fiat's decision to make the 5 door variants look like s**t. the 3 door punto and stilo look far superior to the 5 door models, but that's cos Fiat have toned down the style to make them 'Family' cars. I have a family but why should i have to have a car that looks s**t just cos Fiat thinks i want practicality over style?
