Fiat-Chrysler was just fined US $105 MILLION for noncompliance with USA safety rules. Most of the vehicles concerned are older Jeeps and Chrysler cars that predate the Fiat takeover.
Dealers will have to make the needed updates or else buy back the cars, all at F-C's expense. They can sell repaired cars as used cars after they've been brought back to standard. Most of the problems are related the fuel tanks on older Jeep models.
Otherwise, Fiat-Chrysler has been doing quite well in the USA.
