Fiat Bravo HGT

Hi, I'm a newbie so please be gentle

I'm going to look at a HGT tomorrow, the advert reads

Fiat Bravo HGT 1997 R reg, met blue, 33k, ABS, s/r, stereo, e/windows, 1 owner, alarm, PAS, Alloys, MOT August, Exc Cond, £2950

The guy said he has had it from new and its in good condition- i was hoping someone could give me some pointers on what to look for , weak points etc and whether its a reasonable price. Can you recommend them? Any info would really be appreciated [8D]

Hi,
Few things:

Check it has a red key as well as blue keys, red key is master and is needed for car electronics.
Low miles but 6+ years old, prob need timing belt change, negotiate price.

Usual things, service history, has car been thrashed or tootled round city? On test drive check idle from cold, any lumpiness up to about 2500 rpm and then again when warmed up. Check to see if injection light (spray nozzle) comes on while driving.

Usually a good car and if in good condition and not thrashed then not too bad a deal.
