fiat bravo engine change

please could any one help me, I have a 16v 1.6 fiat bravo which needs a new engine and I want to know is if the engines with the plastic induction manifold has the same head as the one with the cast induction manifold (the earlier type engine i think) because i can get the plastic mainifold type from a friend, so is it just a matter of changing the manifolds and refit the engie.
