What's the most annoying thing with your Fiat?

In my Uno, it's the passenger door. I have to wait until my passenger closes the door, for me to lock it. And this I have to explain very often, when passengers use force to try to lock the door before closing it.

The door handles on my Marea don't spring back very well when I let go of them, so I have to push them in sometimes or the door does not latch.
My VVT is sticking so quite a lot of the time I am driving with the timing out by 9 or 10 degrees.:(

i quite like that feature as my alarm auto locks the doors and they open when the passengers pull the door lever, the rear wiper switch on the dash annoys me and the way the wiper switch goes down for on it took me 6 weeks to get the hang of this

I can completely understand your problem with the stupid uno lock system, annoys me to hell too! For the tenth time this month "No, it doesn't lock, i have to do it" person thinking *pghstochaj must have a crap car*

Now, get your thinking heads on. The Uno has that passenger door lock as a 'feature'. Why? well quite simple really, its the drivers door in Italy and saves you the worry of locking your keys in the car.

Cheers

The drivers door in Italy is the same all around the world except the UK and Australia (and som other countries), so I don't buy that one...:) It doesn't matter what side the steering wheel is, the problem persists. It actually says so in the car's manual as well. And I think this is a Fiat Fiature (feature), because it is the same on the Ritmo/Strada - and we've got two of'em. Propably a way to save a couple of lire, eh.. euro now?

This exactly the feeling I'm getting too.

And the fix to having your keys locked in your car? You get two sets when you buy the car and most people have some form of recovery who will get your keys out for you.

What a pointless "design feature". Every morning I have to remember that my little sister hasn't locked the door when I get out after parking at school. She would if she could, so would all my friends who press it and press it and press it and still it won't go down! They just don't understand. They even do it time after time with me telling them each time. Maybe that isn't the car's fault but mine for having forgetful friends.

I never checked if it happens on my driver's side (i.e. passengers in Italy) and will remember tomorrow.

Oh well, it was made in the olden days lol.

Well, I love my cars.

I actually like Fiats little quirks. It gives the cars personality. Cars that are perfect in every way never get noticed, you don't have to think about them at all. Every time I get into one of my Fiats I think about it. They look beautiful (yes, even the Uno) and I love catching people looking at my Brava. It really stands out from the Escort/Focus/Golf/Astra crowd. For this I can forgive it a few quirks.

I wouldn't drive anything else. Italian all the way.

fit the universal central locking kit from maplins... then people wont even think about locking it.:p

thin that annoys me about my fiat is that there is a blatent lack of body styling avaliable for it (Uno by the way) which isnt really a problem with the car but it annoys me anyway heh

when i had a Punto the most annoying thing was having the passenger seat back a bit, then someone gets in and the seat won't go back to the way you had it cos it hits your rear pasengers feet. then you have to get them to get out. slide the seat back, adjust it forward a bit, get out, let the rear seat passenger back in, and get in yourself!

Some people mightn't find that annoying.... i did!

I like my Punto a lot but if I had to pick out a few Fiat-specific gripes it would be rattles and the usual Fiat quality of things like shocks which make for a questionable ride.

did anyone else think the rear suspension of their Mk.2 Punto was really noisy? mine was really creaky

never heard about that fix. heard about all the GM cars recalled for a fault in the steering column. vauxhalls and fiats affected. they never fixed my headlights or the faulty horn terrible service
