Technical Fiat 500x - unknown fault

Hi gang - never had issue with car until now

Engine management light came on a week ago - disables stop start/drive selector - but other than that all driving fine - just had fault code read and came up with 11500H/70912 - any help welcome

car is fiat 500x diesel 1.6 - always fully serviced and maintained - so since that warning light came on aircon refuses to cool - had it regassed a few weeks ago - outside temp now reads as 88c and drivers control switch for passenger window doesn't want to work

engine management warning reset and hasnt come back

any help/advice much appreciated

Could be connected with the temperature sensor which is located in the drivers side mirror, when these go wrong it throws up all sorts of problems. If you go to Fiats they only supply a complete Mirror unit but some owners have found a source of sensors only (much Cheaper)
so well worth checking the forum out.

I don't recognise your error codes quoted. The certainly don't look like any Fiat error code. They are possibly codes specific to the diagnostic software that read them?

It sounds like the temp sensor and the switch aren't properly communicating with Body Control module.

If you open the door you'll see a big plug where the electrics pass from the car to the door. If you lift up the knurled/grooved locking collar, you'll be able to pull the plug out.

Give it a good clean with WD40 and your missus' toothbrush and then finally a spray of contact cleaner to get rid of the parafin residue, since it attracts moisture eventually.

Also clean up the pins on the door-side connector.. toothbrush and WD40 again..

Put the whole thing back together again and see whether it worked.

I’ve got the same 11500H/70912 codes come up on my 500x Did you manage the get to the bottom of yours playing up?
