Hiya, My Fiat 500L 2013 1.3 Diesel Manual got the fault code P040261 about once a week. I have been Clean the Air Flow meter, Replace new EGR valve and Replace the EGR Sensor.

All I can do I was done. When I arrived at the speed on 50 miles and 2000rpm, the yellow engine light was on with limp mode. So does anybody got this fault code or situation? How to resolve that?

Do you see any other symptoms, smoke etc.?
As you say error code points to the EGR side, but I have seen many small diesels with DPF blockage problems due to short distance and low speed running causing DPF not being able to do a Regen and clean it's self.
If that was the case, then a bottle of DPF cleaner additive in a full tank of fuel and a steady run on dual carriageway at around 2500rpm for thirty miles with engine temp in middle of gauge 90degrees Centigrade with no interruptions has worked for many in my experience.
Reason being small diesels with DPF etc. hate short town journeys at slow speed, which is what most end up doing.:(

Yes, The White smoke when the DPF is working within a few seconds. Then, the smoke will disappear. The additive I was filling about once within three month.
Also, I was drive a little long journey about twice in a month about one or two hours. When I speed up to 50 miles&2000rpm, the yellow engine light on with limp mode.
About the fuel, I always fill the good quality diesel. So, I was felt strange.

When vehicles have the problem I put the whole bottle of additive in fuel tank and drive as I said above, then it still needs half a bottle every tank full of fuel, plus a good run at least once a month or problem comes back.
Trouble is people buy small diesels for the economy, but the salesman neglects to tell them they are un suited for around town with DPF etc.!:mad:

Me too, fill the additive first then fill full fuel. I was run twice good run in a month as user manual said Over 30miles&2000rpm.
Diesel is good for start and Climb the slope. But they got many trouble with carbon block.
Salesman will not said DPF got many trouble.🙂↔️
