I have a 2012 Fiat 500 Sport that has issues with the key fob unlock/lock.
Pressing the lock button on the remote flashes the lights, but won't lock the car.
Pressing the unlock button on the remote flashes the lights, but won't unlock the car.
Pressing the trunk button on the remote unlocks all the doors!
I can still lock/unlock the car by turning the key manually (it locks/unlocks all doors).
Already tried:
- replacing the door lock fuse
- cleaning the contacts on the key fob remote (no corrosion)
If it helps, the trunk wasn't working because a few wires were chaffed going to the trunk. I reconnected all wires and sealed them and now the trunk handle works.
Any input would be great. I think it might be a faulty actuator, or possibly a bad relay in the body control module (bcm).
