The Blitz is something I have mentioned on here before and something that my Grandfather was going to help me build when I was younger, pity we never got around to it :( - even had the 126 ready to buy.

The Blitz and the Diamond are both produced by NCF Motors in the North-East - and Nick, the designer and owner of the company is a really good friend of mine. I've known him since he was 14 and knew hardly anything about motor engineering. We did a lot of spannering, cutting and welding in the early days - all to the accompaniment of much of his Dad's home brew! (Not that his Dad had any idea we were 'acquiring' it).

From those very early days he's moved on leaps and bounds and has designed and produced some really good stuff from what is essentially a very small outfit, but he has never ever lost touch with reality and always remains very approachable with a great sense of humour - a thoroughly nice bloke. If you ever get the chance to meet and talk to him do so - we need more like him.

Quality (y) back in the days of school (about year 9 or 10) me and a mate concocted a plan to build a 126-based buggy for terrorising the local back lanes :D sadly, but probably unsurprisingly, neither my parents nor my mate's parents would have any of it. And that was in the days when 126 values were rock bottom too!
