[The Negotiator]

Been away for a while and this wouldn't send at the time but I am still interested: (please NB the fact I wrote it at a different time!)

Couldn't possibly write down all the films that people love but I wanted to find if there are any gems out there I should watch:

So, if you would like, drop down your favourite film and why:

I'll start:

My favourite film is.... Good Will Hunting I believe. It is on right now and this is why I suddenly thought of this poll. Starring an excellent cast; Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and Robin Williams to start with the famous people, it leads you through an amazing story. Wrecked in some ways by a romantic story line (which is necessary but sometimes a bit annoying) it has to be my favourite film and worth a watch for anybody. It is a VERY clever film full of well thought out words and scenes and is not only thought-provking but also "nice" to watch.

So much so, out of my massive film collection, (2 DVDS = Session 9 (also very good!) and the office series 2, 2 VHS = Office series 1 and GWH) i chose to own it.

Don't watch the end however on TV now, it will ruin it and you have missed why the end is so "nice"

action wise, the matrix still has a soft spot in my heart, but so does first blood.

i'd have to agree on good will hunting, defo one of my prefered. i also like 12 angry men, which is a old but good courtoom drama.

Hard to choose but:
Stigmata (I'm a sucker for religious chillers)
Hellraiser (more specifically no. 3 but I like them all)
The Ring (Jap. version)
The other jap. film I can't remember the name of with the kids on the island who all kill each other (if anyone can provide the name that would be helpful!)

You can see where this is going can't you.....so for the sake of generalisation I will also include Grease, Dirty Dancing and Pretty Woman.

Except the Jap bit makes me think of Lord of the Flies... but i have only ever read the book.

Hmmmmm, jap film was a class of schoolkids on an island for an annual killing contest. Each kid was given a weapon and they all had to kill each other and the survivor got to leave the island alive. If they didn't all kill each other except for that one after 48 hours then all the kids would be blown up using a bomb round their neck.
