recently bought 115 hlx bravo without back box (pipe finishes at around middle of rear wheel), do i have to replace with another back box or can i extend with just a pipe to the back of the car?, opr any other suggestions welcome.

the entire exhaust is one piece after the cat, so the backbox must have snapped off, or been cut off. you could extend the pipe to the rear bumper but it will remain noisey without a backbox. you could replace it with a universal backbox which can be joined to your existing pipe, that would be cheap and easy. you could also fit a scrapyard cat-back system.

Found a 1.8 breaking on ebay, quoted full system for £50.00 delivered, so have gone with that one, least car will be on road soon.
