Can anyone recomend a nice sporty exhaust for my Sei?

Must be a single pipe and low/deep sounding not 'raspy' or loud oh and JUST the tail pipe only.. not the complete system :)

Also, if i was to get an induction kit, will this reduce the fuel consumtion or improve it?

I had an induction kit on my Nova GTE and i thought that the petrol went down quite quick... am i right?

Any pointers on this subject would help.

Cheers peeps.

I got a janspeed on my cinq, sounds nice! Although not sure what it would be like on the sei.
My mate has a Y plate sei with a peco backbox and a supersprint manifold/de-cat. and it sounds like a ferrari!

with the induction kit, i don't it would make enough of a difference for you to notice> if you drivin ur sei properly the fuel shouldn't last very long anyway lol :D :D :D jus messin

up to you!

I would highly recommend Supersprint back box. Lovely nice sized single tail pipe, quality sounding, lovely deep note but without the vulgarness of some and it comes in around the £150 mark.

u have a few choices for a back box for a sei, u got sportex, janspeed, ansa and supersprint to choose from

sportex sound quite nice and i had a janspeed on my sei before i split it in two

i have now got a powerflow full system, im not really sure how it sounds, cause i only here it in the car, but ive been told it sounds quite nice

if you can afford it and there is someone local custom made is always a good idea. When i had my sei i had a 4-2-1 manifold, no cat straight thro to back box and a 4inch either side. looked and sounded the nuts cost £500 tho but worth every penny. Coupled with induction kit and gasflowed head made it quicker. Be careful who you get a custom thro tho. Mine came from a very reputable local specialist (who are main supplier of exhuasts and manifolds to westfield) but some mates have gone to places and they havent really been upto scratch.

I'm sure the fuel consumption issue on your nova would have been due to flooring it to make the k&n sound it's best.

Easy on the foot and there should be no ill effects.

Janspeed is deep sounding, especially when you hit 3K.

Dino's advice is useful but I'm always thinking that the way they work isn't the best for your car i.e., backboxes and systems designed for the car will give good power gains and are matched to that particular car where as custom places will but the same silencers in your car as they would with someone elses.

Can't be good imo.
