Technical Exhaust Problems

Started my car up today and it sounds really loud , Have a feeling it is something to do with the exhaust. The car is a 98 Reg Punto 60 SX .

Anyone know how much roughtly it costs in terms of exhaust and labour ( just need a rough idea before i take it to the garage).

it will all depend on what part of the exhaust is going there are 3 sections. cheapest one at a exhaist place should be about £60-£70ish maybe lil less or more nit sure as i have mk2 and yours is a mk1. the midle section can cost a little more as it has a flexi pipe in it. the front down pipe/manifold is dearest but also most unlikely to have gone

The flexi downpipe on mk1 is £38 on e-bay brand new, the section from that pipe to the back box £120 fitted at national tyres 2yrs ago. Check first to see that it hasnt pulled slightly apart at the joint first its happened to me before:bang:
